What this part does

The cylinder head mounts to the top of the engine block to seal the cylinders and form the combustion chamber. Before you order

• This casting is specific to the right side (passenger side, Bank 1) of the engine. Do not attempt to install it on the driver side.
• Always have the mating surface checked for true flatness by a machine shop before installation, even on good used parts.
• Installation requires a new head gasket and new torque-to-yield head bolts. Never reuse old head bolts.
• Depending on whether this head is sold loaded or bare, you may need to transfer your existing camshafts, valves, and springs. If transferring valvetrain components, valve lash and clearances must be professionally measured and adjusted.
