What this part does

The front stabilizer connects the left and right sides of the front suspension to limit the amount of body lean during cornering. It mounts directly to the vehicle subframe with rubber bushings and attaches to the suspension assemblies via vertical end links. By transferring suspension movement from one side of the chassis to the other, it keeps the vehicle planted and maintains a flat stance through turns. If the bar becomes bent from an impact, or if the mounting points fail, the vehicle will exhibit excessive body roll, loose steering response, and clunking noises when driving over uneven surfaces.

Before you order

Match the stamped part number on your original bar before purchasing. BMW utilizes different stabilizer bar thicknesses and mounting configurations depending on whether the vehicle is equipped with standard suspension, the M Sport package, or Active Roll Stabilization (Dynamic Drive). Installing the incorrect bar will alter the handling dynamics and may not align with your factory end links. It is strongly recommended to replace the sway bar bushings and end links with new units when installing this part, as the old rubber components are usually compressed or worn out.
