What this part does
The front left brake caliper is a critical hydraulic component mounted over the brake rotor on the driver-side wheel hub assembly. It houses the brake pistons and brake pads, converting hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder into mechanical clamping force. When the brake pedal is depressed, the caliper squeezes the pads against the spinning rotor to generate the friction required to slow and stop the vehicle. If this component fails or seizes, you may experience the vehicle pulling sharply to one side during braking, excessive heat and brake dust buildup from a dragging pad, or a spongy brake pedal caused by fluid leaking past the piston seals.

Before you order
Because the vehicle it came from was equipped with the M Package, this caliper is larger and designed for different rotors than the standard base-model brakes. You must verify that your current vehicle features the M Sport braking option before purchasing, as standard and M Sport braking components are not interchangeable. When installing this unit, it is highly recommended to inspect the flexible rubber brake hose for degradation and to install a fresh set of brake pads. A complete bleed of the hydraulic brake system is required after installation to ensure all air is purged from the lines and maximum stopping power is restored.
