What this part does
The washer fluid reservoir securely stores the cleaning solvent required for the windshield and headlight washing systems. Typically mounted concealed behind the front bumper cover or inside the front fender liner, it acts as the mounting point for the electric washer pumps and the fluid level sensor. When the driver activates the wash function, the integrated pumps draw fluid from this tank and route it to the nozzles. Age, constant temperature fluctuations, and front-end impacts commonly cause the plastic housing to crack along its seams. A compromised reservoir will leak fluid onto the ground, permanently triggering the low washer fluid warning on the instrument cluster and rendering the windshield cleaning system inoperable.

Before you order
Confirm the configuration of your original tank before purchasing. Reservoirs vary significantly based on vehicle options, specifically whether the car is equipped with a headlight washer system or a cold-climate package, which dictates the number of pump mounting holes cast into the plastic.
This assembly includes the bare plastic tank. You will need to transfer your existing washer fluid pumps, the fluid level sensor, and the filler neck from your old unit. When installing your original pumps into this reservoir, carefully inspect the rubber sealing grommets; replacing dried or flattened grommets during installation is highly recommended to prevent future leaks.
