What this part does
The fuel rail acts as a manifold to distribute high-pressure fuel from the high-pressure fuel pumps to the individual direct injectors. Mounted directly to the cylinder head of the engine, it ensures each injector receives a consistent volume of fuel at the exact pressure required for proper atomization. If a high pressure fuel rail develops a crack or a damaged fitting, it will cause a severe fuel leak, a noticeable smell of raw gas in the engine bay, sudden loss of fuel pressure, and multiple cylinder misfires.

Before you order
The V8 engine utilizes two separate fuel rails—one for Bank 1 (passenger side, cylinders 1-4) and one for Bank 2 (driver side, cylinders 5-8). They have different shapes and line routing, so you must verify which side you are replacing. Inspect the threaded fittings on your high-pressure lines before installation, as cross-threading will ruin the rail. Always use new O-rings and hardware when reinstalling fuel system components to prevent dangerous high-pressure leaks.
