What this part does
The fog light is mounted low in the front bumper fascia to project a wide, flat beam of light beneath the weather line during rain, snow, or fog. By cutting under airborne moisture, it improves close-range road visibility and lateral illumination when standard headlights scatter light back at the driver. Physical impacts from road debris, moisture intrusion from cracked polycarbonate lenses, and failed internal reflectors are the most common reasons for replacement. A malfunctioning unit will result in reduced poor-weather visibility and typically triggers an exterior lighting failure message on the instrument cluster.

Before you order
Verify the physical shape, lens curvature, and mounting tabs against your original housing, as front bumper options (such as the standard bumper versus the SportDesign package) can dictate which light assembly fits the vehicle. Inspect your existing wiring harness and connector plug for moisture corrosion before installing the replacement unit, as a compromised seal on the old lamp often damages the vehicle-side plug.
