What this part does
The interior trim panel provides a finished aesthetic surface while concealing the underlying structural brackets, wiring harnesses, and electronic modules within the cabin. It mounts securely to the dashboard or center console sub-frame using integrated plastic tabs and metal retaining clips. When these mounting points break due to impact or improper removal, the trim panel will often vibrate, sit unevenly, or produce audible interior rattles while driving.

Before you order
Match the 51169321365 part number carefully, as BMW produced the 7 Series with several different interior material finishes including Fineline wood, piano black, and aluminum. The underlying mounting points are identical, but a mismatched finish will clash with the rest of your cabin. Use a proper plastic pry tool during installation to avoid damaging the delicate retaining clips on the new piece.
