What this part does
The A/C line is a critical component of the vehicle's climate control system, responsible for transporting refrigerant under high or low pressure between the compressor, condenser, receiver drier, and evaporator. Depending on its specific position in the circuit, it carries either pressurized liquid or low-pressure gas. When an A/C hose develops a leak or its internal lining degrades, the system loses refrigerant charge, resulting in a total loss of cabin cooling. Severe leaks can also allow moisture into the system or cause the compressor to fail from lack of lubrication.

Before you order
Air conditioning lines are highly specific to the vehicle's engine layout and chassis. Always match the OEM number exactly, as routing paths and connection fittings vary significantly even within the same model generation. High-pressure and low-pressure lines are not interchangeable. Installation of a replacement refrigerant line requires new O-rings or seals at every connection point to ensure a vacuum-tight system. The climate control system must be professionally evacuated before removing the old line, and the system must be vacuum-tested and recharged to factory specifications after installation.
