What this part does
This interior trim piece sits over the center console, framing the gear selector and iDrive controller. It protects the sensitive control modules and wiring underneath from dust and spills while providing a seamless cosmetic finish to the cabin. If this panel becomes cracked, heavily scratched, or loses its underlying mounting tabs, it will often cause interior rattles and leave unsightly gaps in the console assembly.

Before you order
Compare the button cutouts on this console trim with your original part. BMW 6 Series models have different switch configurations on the center console depending on factory options like parking sensors, surround view cameras, and the specific generation of the iDrive controller. You may need to transfer your existing metal retention clips or switches to this panel during installation.
