What this part does
This exterior trim molding mounts to the front passenger side body panel, following the contours of the wheel arch and lower fender area. It acts as a physical barrier to protect the underlying painted metal from road debris, stone chips, and moisture kicked up by the tires. Over time or due to minor side-impacts, the internal plastic retaining tabs can snap off, causing the molding to sag, rattle, or separate entirely from the vehicle body. UV exposure can also cause unpainted versions of this trim to fade or crack.

Before you order
Check whether the trim on the vehicle it came from was painted to match the body color or if it is the textured matte black plastic finish, as Porsche offered different exterior packages for the Cayenne. Inspect the metal mounting holes on your front right fender before attempting installation; if the sheet metal was deformed during an impact, the new clips will not seat correctly and the trim will not sit flush. It is highly recommended to purchase new mounting clips, as the original retaining tabs often become brittle and break upon removal.
