What this part does

The inner sill trim sits at the base of the door opening on the interior floor threshold. It protects the exposed painted metal and carpet edge from scuffs, scratches, and damage as occupants enter and exit the vehicle. In the BMW 7 Series, these panels securely anchor the edge of the floor carpet and conceal wiring harnesses routed along the lower chassis. A cracked or missing sill plate allows moisture and debris to enter the sub-carpet area and degrades the premium appearance of the cabin.

Before you order

• This specific trim panel is designed exclusively for the right passenger front door threshold. It will not fit the rear doors or the driver side.
• Verify your vehicle's interior package. M Sport package vehicles often feature specific M-branded aluminum or illuminated inserts on the sill trim, which must match the other doors for a consistent interior aesthetic.
• Illuminated versions of this trim require an intact sub-harness connection. Check the vehicle's floor wiring plug for corrosion before installing a replacement.
• Ensure the plastic retaining clips located in the vehicle's floor pan are intact. If the previous trim was removed forcefully, the body-side receivers may be broken and will prevent the new panel from seating flush against the carpet.
