What this part does

The Seat Set provides the primary seating structure, ergonomic support, and safety restraint anchoring for the driver and passengers within the cabin. Modern automotive seating assemblies house a complex array of electrical and safety components, including multi-way power adjustment motors, passenger weight occupancy sensors, seat heating elements, and side-impact airbags. The underlying steel frames and sliding tracks mount directly to the floor pan at reinforced structural points, ensuring absolute crash safety integrity.

This specific set features Alcantara upholstery, a synthetic suede material originally developed for motorsports, offering high-friction grip during hard cornering and excellent temperature regulation compared to standard leather finishes. When internal track mechanisms bind, integrated memory control modules fail, or the factory upholstery sustains severe damage, replacing the complete seat assembly is the most reliable way to restore both interior comfort and critical safety systems.

Before you order

Verify the main wiring harness chassis connectors under your current front seats before purchasing. Porsche factory seating packages vary significantly across trim levels, including standard 8-way, 14-way comfort, and 18-way adaptive sport configurations. Installing a Seat Set with different power adjustment levels, memory functions, or heating capabilities than the vehicle was originally built for will typically require specialized module coding using a dealership diagnostic tool, and may necessitate harness pin modifications.

The integrated side airbags must be strictly compatible with your existing Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) to prevent dashboard warning lights or deployment failures. Inspect your current seat belt buckles, as it is standard practice to transfer the original seat belt pretensioners to the replacement seats to maintain module matching. Additionally, note that Alcantara requires specific fabric cleaners and soft-bristle brushes for maintenance; do not treat these surfaces with traditional leather conditioners.
