What this part does
The upper interior light assembly mounts directly to the headliner above the front row of seats. It houses the primary cabin illumination bulbs, map reading lights, and the circuitry that communicates with the vehicle body control module. This unit often integrates the switches for overhead lighting modes and sometimes the sunroof or ambient lighting controls. When the internal circuit board or switch contacts fail, the cabin may lose overhead lighting completely, or the integrated switches can become entirely unresponsive.

Before you order
Porsche overhead consoles feature multiple variations depending on the vehicle's specific options, such as sunroof controls, homelink systems, or interior alarm sensors. You must verify that the button layout on this replacement exactly matches your original unit. Check the provided part number against the sticker on the back of your old console. Remove the original unit carefully using plastic trim tools to avoid damaging the headliner, and inspect the vehicle-side wiring harness for any melted pins before plugging in the replacement.
